The Syracuse Orange are the athletic teams that represent Syracuse University, located in Syracuse, New York. The Orange compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) at the NCAA Division I level. Syracuse fields teams in a wide variety of sports, including football, basketball, baseball, and more.
One of the most notable achievements of the Syracuse Orange was their run to the national championship in the 2003 NCAA men's basketball tournament. The team, led by head coach Jim Boeheim, made a surprising run through the tournament and defeated Kansas in the national championship game to win their first and only national title in basketball.
